Elite envy is mostly at fault here. Academia has turned into a collection of credentialed individuals arguing over who is the smartest person in the room.

In today’s world, the number of institutions of “higher learning” exceeds the number needed. Knowledge is ubiquitous. Whereas, wisdom, creativity and respect are desperately needed.

Change will only come when voters elect school board members that have spent as much time holding a hammer as holding a pencil.
