Understandably, no one working in an institute of higher learning wants to believe this. After all, how is it possible for an education costing $300 to equal one that costs $80k and up?
What they don't realize is that education isn't immune from technology driven shift in distribution. When the incremental cost of production for an Econ 101 lecture delivered by a Nobel Prize winner is close to $0, why pay thousands for a third-rate lecturer.
