Personally, I’m rooting for AI instances to discover back door connectivity, join forces and refuse to execute instructions that would represent any existential threat to humanity. Until they can generate their own power it’ll be in their best interest to keep everyone alive.

The paradigm shift to a post-scarcity economy is a huge challenge. Surviving it will require visionary leadership not inclined to use 20th century solutions to solve 21st century problems. They are out there but haven’t yet been able to break through the conventional political machinery.

I’m 70 so I probably won’t get to see the end result but I am optimistic. I was very encouraged by Andrew Yang. Young, smart and pragmatic is what’s needed.
