Insightful as always.

This will no doubt, spur a raft of negative reaction from those needing to believe in the infallibility of the scientific method.

In the 1950's it was common to treat enlarged adenoids by irradiating them. A decade or so later, physicians became aware just how dangerous this technique was and abandoned it entirely. Being one of the lucky recipients of this "treatment", It's perhaps not surprising that I developed hypothyroidism in my 40s and in my early 60s cancer on one of my vocal folds.

"Following the science" isn't a guarantee of a good result. Scientists are simply humans doing the best they can. If they were always right there would be no learning and growth from research. New information always leads to reevaluation.

Did I get the vaccine? Yes. Do I respect those who don't Yes. Time will tell which tactic is best, or if it even matters.

Thanks Monica!
