Capitalism needs a working supply/demand curve of human labor to function. As machine labor and artificial intelligence displaces human labor the system will fail.

Politicians may not be ready to embrace the need for radical concepts like UBI. But without some way to mitigate the disruption, there will be social unrest unlike any seen before.
